Iranian, international stars express solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza

Iranian and international stars express solidarity with Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip as Israel continues to pound the coastal enclave.

Iranian and international stars have expressed solidarity with Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip amid Israeli raids on the coastal enclave.

Many actors and celebrities across the world have condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza, killing civilians and children since May 10.

In solidarity with the Palestinian cause, ‘Chimney’ star Amir-Hossein Rostami shared a photo of a kid who was killed in Israeli attacks with the text “Innocent Children” written on his Instagram story.

Iranian star Navid Mohammadzadeh also shared several posts on his Instagram story in support of the Palestinians, including a photo showing a boy carrying the Palestinian flag.

Peyman Maadi, the star of Oscar-winning film ‘A Separation’, also shared a video showing a Palestinian girl recounting her ordeal.

Sharing a video of a shocked Palestinian kid, ‘The Chef’ star, Parviz Parastoui, said in a post on Instagram "A child shocked by the horrific bombings of Gaza; the big question (is) how his psyche would recover in the future after this devastating shock?"

Iranian actor Habib Rezaei also posted a photo of a Palestinian girl sitting on the ruins of a building, holding a doll and the Palestinian flag and said, “The world’s dolls would be orphan if there were no girl.”

'Shams-ol-Emareh' actress Hanieh Tavassoli and Ashkan Khatibi, who appeared in ‘Relatively Bad Guys’, were also among the Iranian actors who expressed solidarity with the Palestinians.

In a video published on his Twitter account on Monday, Iranian actor Anoosh Moazami also “strongly condemned” the Israeli crimes in Gaza and urged the international community and human rights groups to “immediately” intervene and take action against the Israeli violations.

English actor Idris Elba also joined growing calls for an end to Israeli violence against Palestinians.

“Too many lives are being lost right now for it not to be on the forefront of all our awareness,” 'Luther' actor wrote in a post on his Instagram page on Saturday.

"It’s the brutality and bloodshed that has compelled me to raise concern. IT HAS TO STOP, there needs to be more intervention before more people die… STOP the bloodshed in #Palestine,” he added.
